Social Competence
The term social competence originates from psychology and refers to a combination of assertiveness and adaptability in communication and interaction situations. In this context, social competence enables effective action by maximizing positive outcomes and minimizing negative ones. In everyday life, and particularly in the workplace, social competence is often understood as soft skills.
